VaidaI have thoroughly enjoyed my experience here at La Trobe. It has been a real privilege to be able to use the university's facilities including the opportunity to talk to experienced academics within the campus. I have learnt a lot this week from lectures and private interviews. Having academics to talk to us has really helped with our research and finding more about what La Trobe is specifically doing with regards to researching cures for Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease. It has been good to be able to work independently and be in control of our own learning. I feel extremely grateful to have been able to experience the 'uni' life at such a young age. I'm so thankful for this experience and I think it has been a real highlight of year 9 so far. I think working in the 'uni' environment using their resources has been a real help and I would definitely do the program again.

EthanThe La Trobe experience has been one of my schooling highlights so far. The fact that I have been able to learn so much about topics with so much freedom has been so much fun. I thoroughly enjoyed researching and putting this project together about the real world problem of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease, in the hope that one day scientists will find a cure and maybe I would even be part of the break through that could save the life of millions and improve the quality of life for others. I'm so thankful for this opportunity to gain an insight into uni life. I am also extremely grateful to the teachers and academics who gave their precious time to make the experience so memorable and for me. If I could do the program again I wouldn't change a thing and I would do it again.

LeytonThe La Trobe program has been a wonderful experience to be able to do at such a young age. This program has given me the opportunity to discover the uni life, such as the form of freedom but also being able to learn the topic I wanted to learn about. Over the two weeks I was able to learn a lot from the lectures and private interviews that I would have never gotten before this program. It has been a pleasure to be able to take part in this wonderful program and I hope that what La Trobe is researching can help society cure Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. Thus, I would like to thank Prof. Nick Hoogenraad for starting the Out Reach Program and all the lecturers that we interviewed for taking time out of their busy days to speak to us. A final thanks to La Trobe for giving me a fantastic experience for the past two weeks.
