A Neurodegenerative Disease is a large term used for a range of conditions that primarily affect the neurons in the brain. Neurons are the building blocks of the nervous system which includes the brain and the spinal cord. Neurons normally don't reproduce or replace themselves so when they die they cannot be replaced by the body. Three examples of Neurodegenerative Diseases are Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease and Huntington's disease. Neurodegenerative Diseases are irreversible and incurable.
